Art Room After School

Unit 2: Paper Potential

This unit will focus on some of the countless possibilities of paper as an artistic medium. Students will "draw with scissors" inspired by the work of Henri Matisse, create three-dimensional sculptures using armature and paper mache, and cast paper into molds. This program provides a space for kids to build the valuable skills of inquiry, exploration, planning, and revision through these creative processes.
